Traditional short handled Agate Burnishers for use in water gilding, calligraphy and illumination.
A polished agate stone head is mounted in a nickel plated ferrule, attached to a wooden handle. The agate heads come in many shapes and sizes to suit the job required.
Please note burnishers are only suitable for use on water gilded surfaces. Attempting to burnish surfaces gilded with oil or acrylic size will not work and they will tear and scratch the surface.
